My apologies for the lack of posts since December — I have been overseas and since my return home I have made the decision to cease updating Aussie Bub Blog due to numerous personal commitments, which leave me with virtually no time to contribute to the site. However, that’s not say that later in the year I may resume posting! Thanks for your understanding and as always thanks for your readership

The couple sent an email to a McLeod’s Daughters fan site announcing the news, where they also said “he is a beautiful, healthy boy with very long legs … like his Dad!”. The couple never officially announced the pregnancy, it was only discovered Brigitta was expecting after she modeled maternity clothing for Big W!
I will update this post shortly with scans and interview highlights from this weeks New Idea Magazine spread.

UPDATE: New information from Imogen reveals that Frederick’s birth date is most likely October 31 as his birth was announced on ‘The Cage’ (a radio show which James co-hosts) on November 1 after one host received a text message from James the night before. The Footy Show co-host, James Brayshaw and wife Sarah welcomed their fourth son Frederick James Brayshaw last week, weighing 10.3 lbs. A big thank you to ABB reader Imogen for this information.
V8 Supercar driver, Dean Canto and wife Erin welcomed their first child, a son named Dylan Riley Canto on October 12 2007, weighing 6lbs 6oz. The news was announced on Dean’s official website where he also said that “[Dylan] and his Mum are doing well.” When the couple discussed the pregnancy in April they were concerned that Dylan may arrive whilst Dean was away competing in the Gold Coast Indy Round, however their new son arrived one-a-half weeks early so Dean was able to be present for the birth.

South Australian Redbacks player and Australian Test Cricketer, Jason Gillespie and wife Anna welcomed their second son Brandon Ryder on Thursday October 18 at 11.42am, weighing 3.96kg. Brandon is a brother for their son Jackson, 20 months and Sapphire, 12 from Jason’s previous relationship. Anna described the birth as “pretty uneventful and I enjoyed that,” and Jason explained that so far Brandon is the perfect baby:
“He’s amazingly placid, he’s sleeping really well and feeding really well — a very low-maintenence baby, which hopefully is a sign of things to come.”
It is hard for Jason to be away from family when he is on touring for cricket:
“When I’m at home it’s quite easy because Anna does everything. The only hard thing for me is being away because you want to be with your family especially when you have a newborn.”

Victorian Deputy Premier, Rob Hulls and wife Carolyn Burnside welcomed their third son Tom on Wednesday October 10, weighing 3.94kg. Tom is a little brother to Jack, 4 and Nicholas, 18 months and a daughter from Rob’s first relationship. Tom was originally due on October 7 — so he kept the family waiting for a few days!
Rob spoke about his new son on Monday:
“Thank God he looks like his mother, not his father. He’s a beautiful baby who takes after my amazing wife, Carolyn, who’s done a sensational job yet again. I want to thank everyone at St Vincent’s Private Hospital for their care and attention, especially the nurses, who were so supportive of Carolyn, and obstetrician Dr Rasmussen, who has delivered all our boys with such aplomb.”
He also joked that Tom’s first words were in celebration of the AFL’s Geelong Cats Premiership win late last month:
“Already he’s said his first words, and they were, ‘Go Cats!’”

Aussie cricketer Nathan Bracken and wife Haley Rich-Bracken welcomed their first child, a son named Chase in late September. Haley revealed in August that she was due on October 27 — so I guess baby Chase made an early arrival, which caused Nathan to rush home from the Twenty20 championship in South Africa last month to be at the birth. If anyone has anymore info on Chase’s birth stats please email me or leave a comment.

Axel is very proud of Xavier’s good looks:
“He has fair hair and the nurses said he is dazzlingly good-looking and a future playboy-to-be.”
The couple found out Xavier’s sex 20 weeks into the pregnancy:
“Kathryn and I argued so much about names we decided to find out so we could eliminate half of the argument. It was a textbook birth.”

Aerial Angels director and former trapeze artist Sue Porrett and her husband Matthew Backman welcomed triplets, Kash Matthew, Solei Michelle and Aria Maree at 7.58, 7.59 and 8.00am respectively on July 4 2007. Sue spoke to the Gold Coast Bulletin on the weekend and commented that Solei and Aria are so alike that she has had to paint Aria’s toenails to know which is which.
The babies were all a healthy weight at birth and needed no special attention when they were born and are now home. Sue has nannies on standby but, as yet, the little ones have been so good she and Matthew have been able to cope by themselves.
